How complete is EveryJaadu?

Nobody has a full list of the world's magic. Much of it is local, much has a dozen names, and much is closed to outsiders and was never meant to be written down. So EveryJaadu shows its working.

Where the list comes from

Items that Wikidata classes under magic, witchcraft, divination, amulets, spirits and folk belief and that have an English Wikipedia article; articles in Wikipedia's categories on these subjects; and our own list of the traditions, rites and places each region is known for, so that small traditions are not crowded out by large ones.

Country overviews written: 65 of 175. Photos: 182 of 224 entries have a free-licence photo; the rest show a drawing until one is found. Also written by hand: 87 rites, 115 places of magic, 103 days and 239 concepts.

New pages are written every day, best documented first. Wikidata and Wikipedia are re-read every week for entries added since.

What is missing

Entries with no English Wikipedia article are not here yet. That leaves out a great deal of local practice, and it favours the well-known. Some knowledge is left out on purpose because its community keeps it closed. By region so far: Europe 78, South Asia 40, East Asia 30, Middle East 19, Latin America and the Caribbean 15, North America 11, Sub-Saharan Africa 10, Southeast Asia 9, North Africa 7, Oceania 3, Central Asia and the Caucasus 3.

Countries with an overview and the fewest entries so far: Antigua and Barbuda (0), Armenia (0), Bahrain (0), Barbados (0), Belarus (0), Belize (0), Bhutan (0), Bolivia (0), Bosnia and Herzegovina (0), Brunei (0), Djibouti (0), Ecuador (0), El Salvador (0), Eritrea (0), Fiji (0), Gambia (0), Grenada (0), Guatemala (0), Guyana (0), Honduras (0).
